Cary Snider joined the Las Vegas Hookers for the 2007-08 season. He is one of two Canadian players on the Hookers' active roster (the other is Josh Hoover.)
Snider played junior hockey in Ontario and college hockey at Lawrence Tech University in Michigan. He holds a degree in architectural engineering from Lawrence Tech, making him the third architect to join the Hookers' roster (Todd Brautigam and David Almany were the others.) Snider was a two-sport man in college, excelling in both hockey and golf. He maintains a 2 handicap on the links.
On the ice, Snider likes to make a nuisance of himself in front of the opposition net where his size and eye-hand coordination make him a threat to score when ever the puck comes his way. Playing in the goal area also makes him a likely candidate to drop the gloves from time to time.
