Erik is one of the league's
best two-way players and most tenacious fore checkers. His ability to dig
the puck out of the corners reflects his years of
experience digging for seeds between the sofa cushions. His linemates, Patrick Bailey and Mike Reed, benefited from Erik's deft passing on the way to a combined 108 goals in 2006.
Erik grew up playing hockey in Ohio where he watched teams like the Cleveland Crusaders of the old WHA. When not playing hockey, Erik roots for his football favorites, the Cleveland Browns.
Erick was voted the club's most improved player in 2006 by his teammates.
